Margaret Stancomb

Selwood Housing has transformed the former Margaret Stancomb school site in Trowbridge into 21 much needed affordable homes for local people. The main Victorian school building was sensitively converted into three desirable family houses for shared ownership. In the grounds, a range of affordable properties in various sizes and tenures were constructed, to suit individuals and families with differing needs. The town centre site had been derelict for over a decade but was steeped in stories from the community. An important part of local heritage has now been given a sustainable use for another century.
