Kyle Buchanan

Kyle Buchanan is a founding Director of Archio Ltd, a studio that specialises in housing, regeneration and environmental retrofit. He leads a team of architects and designers who deliver impactful and innovative solutions for clients and end-users, with a particular focus on co-design and strengthening community involvement in urban renewal. With over 17 years of experience, he has developed a strong expertise in sustainable design and design research, applying evidence-based and user-centred approaches to create buildings and places that enhance social, economic, and environmental outcomes. Kyle has authored policy documents, including a recently published 'Quality Housing in Hounslow: a Vision", and a has recently edited a book for the RIBA entitled 'Collective Action: The Power of Collaboration and Codesign' Kyle's passion and skill have been recognised by various awards, including the RIBA Southwest Project Architect of the Year 2018 and the Architects Journal 40 under 40 in 2020.
