10 George Street
Vertus
It’s since been awarded Gold for Best BTR Project at the What House? Awards 2020 and voted No.1 London development by residents on residential ratings and reviews website, HomeViews. Designed by GRID architects, 327 apartments rise 37 storeys above Wood Wharf, Canary Wharf’s newest neighbourhood. Generous balconies contour the building’s simple yet elegant structure, forming a continuous ribbon up the east and west façades to lend a distinctive architectural character, while an uncompromising quality of service, beautifully designed flexible social spaces, and ongoing events programme are at the heart of a close-knit community. In spite of the obvious challenges posed by the pandemic, 10 George Street became home to a thriving and diverse community. 6,000 sq ft of flexible spaces, known as Club Vertus, provided comfortable, clean and connected workspaces for residents unable to use their office. Club Vertus also offered vital social space, continuing to host events and clubs (when restrictions allowed) thanks to the efforts of the events team and concierge. These unique features and amenities, combined with the waterside location, adjacent gardens and well-equipped gym studio, contributed positively to residents’ mental and physical wellbeing during a very difficult time.
