Félicie Krikler
Director , Assael Architecture
Originally from Paris, Félicie has lived and worked in London for over 20 years as an experienced architect with both French and British qualifications. She specialises in residential-led urban regeneration with a deep understanding of what makes good spaces, homes, places and communities work.
As director at Assael Architecture, having joined in 2000, Félicie has been instrumental in the creative development of the practice, including co-leading the design review process and internal mentoring programme.
She is also a strong believer that research is vital to innovation and growth in architecture and has been pushing several of Assael's research initiatives and collaborative endeavours to improve the design of residential neighbourhoods. These include assisting with developing the RIBA Social Value Toolkit, Build to Rent and ‘later living’ design research, the creation of Assael’s urban design and landscape team, and leading on Assael’s post-occupancy evaluation methodology.
Félicie oversees and leads on all aspects of the design of strategic masterplans and large mixed-use projects, considering the wider placemaking and social value strategies down to the smallest details of urban living.
Félicie is also a Design Council Associate, a lead judge at the British Homes Awards, a member of Croydon’s Design Review Panel and was one of the experts on Lord Heseltine’s National Estate Regeneration Panel. Félicie has recently been elected to serve on RIBA Council London region for a three-year term from September 2023.
