Anna Parker
Director , Intervention Architecture
Anna Parker is the founding Director of Intervention Architecture (IA), a RIBA Architect leading the practice based in Birmingham. Working with local communities and arts organisations, Anna has developed an interdisciplinary way of working which provides a holistic design approach for projects, working across fields of design, interiors, furniture, temporary structures, exhibitions, events, lighting, homes, and mixed-use developments. Anna has been shortlisted for; UK Construction Week Role Model; a national RIBA 'Rising Star'; the Birmingham Post 'Business Entrepreneur of the Year', listed within the 'Midlands top 50 Entrepreneurs' (Insider), and was nominated as a finalist for Birmingham's Young Professional of the Year. Anna also sits on the Birmingham City Council 'Design and Conservation Review Panel', as a Core Member; and is a Trustee on the Board of Birmingham Big Art Foundation (Birmingham Big Art Project). Intervention Architecture is a young boutique studio, with a rigorous design approach, from development of sketches to the making of space with collective involvement. Community-led engagement and meaningful architectural intervention, with artist collaborations, has become central to IA ways of working as we invite people to become engaged with space in innovative ways. @interventionarchitecture
