This house was designed by Powell Tuck Associates for a design journalist and her family. The site had previously been occupied by a Victorian building and redevelopment allowed the house to be equipped with a basement area, significantly increasing the floor area of the new home. This pair of twin houses is set within the Coombe Estate, a 1300 acre area of outstanding natural beauty and a prestigious London address. In this special setting developer Q Developments has worked with Terry Pawson Architects to produce luxurious family homes of contemporary design, constructed using high quality materials. The design concept was to complement the architectural envelope, with its external white linear cast stone cladding, with a similarly striking interior.
