REDROW, BLOOR HOMES, CHARLES CHURCH, HIGH GRANGE DEVELOPMENTS, FIRST BASE AND ST GEORGE TAKE THE HONOURS IN THE PRESTIGIOUS BRITISH HOMES BUILDQUALITY AWARDS SPONSORED BY PREMIER GUARANTEE.

With the support of Britain’s most- read quality Sunday newspaper, with over 50% market share and a circulation approaching one million, The Sunday Times British Homes Awards invited entries from home builders, developers, housing associations, architects and interior designers within thirteen categories. The winning and commended schemes and projects are presented here and were extensively featured in the December 6th edition of the AJ. Complemented by the Premier Guarantee sponsored British Homes BuildQuality Awards, which recognise and endorse those completed schemes that best achieve the creative aspirations of the architect, the Awards provide the catalyst for architects to partner with enlightened homebuilders to create great places to live.

In response to the Future Homes Commission report “Building the Homes and Communities Britain Needs” (October 2012) which called for a design competition for a flexible home that meets consumer needs and can be replicated at scale the 2013 competition, in partnership with Homebase, BRE and The New Homes Marketing Board, called for design submissions for “Britain’s Future Home.”

All award winning and commended schemes were announced at a luncheon at The London Marriott, Grosvenor Square on 18 October 2013. The Sunday Times  covered all winning and commended schemes across the 13 categories within a 12 page British Homes Awards supplement on October 20th.

A Gallery exhibit of the winning design- Lifetime dwelle.ing -and those short-listed is currently on display at The Building Centre in Store Street, London.

All submissions will be extensively featured in the 2014 edition of the award winning publication ‘Design. The key to a better place’ to be published in January 2014 and distributed throughout the house building industry.
