TOMORROW’S SMARTHOME

SMART:HOME COMPETITION WINNER ANNOUNCED

Smart home systems and technologies are becoming increasingly prevalent in our homes. As we move towards a digital society these systems will become a standard feature in our homes and occupants’ expectations of what these systems can deliver will increase. Individual systems exist that can control and monitor many aspects of our homes including heating, water, lighting, healthcare and entertainment. Smart systems are often stand-alone and do not integrate with other systems, this limits the functionality of the systems and does not unlock the full benefits of smart home systems. This competition is seeking integrated, interoperable solutions that demonstrate the application of digital monitoring and control systems in the home.
